Rocks (Boland) vs Titans: Two Super Overs Decide a Thriller in Paarl

Few matches end the way this one did. On 25 October 2026 at Boland Park in Paarl, Rocks (Boland) and Titans both finished on 137 in the CSA T20 Challenge, then both made 9/1 in a Super Over. A second Super Over was needed, and Rocks won it.

Titans struggle for runs

Titans chose to bat, but the top order failed. Dewald Brevis made just 3 from 9 balls and Titans were 52/4 in the ninth over. Dayyaan Galiem made 31, Rivaldo Moonsamy 26 and Donovan Ferreira 26, but no batter passed 31.

Eathan Bosch's unbeaten 27 from 18 helped drag the score to 137/8. Rocks' bowlers were excellent, especially Imran Manack, who conceded just 18 from his four overs while taking a wicket, and Glenton Stuurman and Siyabonga Mahima, each with 2/22.

Rocks' chase comes down to the last ball

A target of 138 should have been manageable, but Rocks made it difficult. They lost three wickets in the first five overs, slipping to 32/3. Lehan Botha held the innings together with an unbeaten 52 from 47 balls and shared a stand with Jhedli Van Briesies, who made 26. When Van Briesies fell at 102, however, the innings began to come apart.

Tabraiz Shamsi took three wickets for 24, and Bosch, having already contributed with the bat, finished with 4/22. Rocks went from 102/4 to 120/7. Stuurman's 8 from 7 gave them a chance, but Bosch bowled Mahima with the last ball of the innings, with the scores level. Rocks had reached 137/9, with Botha stranded at the other end.

The Super Overs

Rocks, as the side that batted second, went first. Facing Bosch, they lost Blayde Capell but made 9/1, with Ferisco Adams hitting a six. Titans, with Glenton Stuurman bowling, lost Brevis but reached the same score: 9/1. The match was tied for a second time.
